Within two years of its inception, the Himalayan Writing Retreat had become a profitable business offering programs in the areas of writing, blogging, storytelling and so on. Chetan's blog also won the Indiblogger award for humour. Along with the Himalayan Writing Retreat, Chetan also co-founded Indian Mountain Foods in the Kumaon Himalayas.
